Myself and five other nursing students will be traveling with to the orphanage and town of Jacmel to provide care in their clinic. This can vary from examinations to assistance with surgical procedures. There is also a potential for us to hike to a mountain village and provide care there as well. Any spare time will be spent at the orphange with the children.
Since this organization is ran off of 100% volunteer work, it is also 100% my financial responsibility. Your kind support will cover my flight, accommodations, transportation and meals. I completely understand that the holiday season makes it difficult for financial support, so if that is the case I simply ask for prayers, not only for the safety of myself and fellow students, but for the children's health and that God gives us the strength to make a positive impact on La Concorde.
ANOTHER WAY TO DONATE: I am also looking for supplies to take with us to the orphanage since they do not have easy access to these supplies. They include: Tylenol SP, Ibuprofen SP, Vitamin C for adults and children, cough medicine, Pepto Bismol, and vaginal cream. If you would like to donate any of these, you can contact me via phone or email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we can set up a time to meet. :)
Hi y'all! My name is Lexie. I'm in my final year of nursing school in Cheyenne, WY. My end-goal is pediatric nursing. I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to impact a child's life in Haiti.
